Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has publicly addressed the end of his relationship with Argentine rapper Nicki Nicole, dismissing widespread speculation about the circumstances surrounding their separation.
The 17-year-old Spain international, whose performances have established him as one of European football’s most exciting prospects, confirmed the break-up during an interview with Javi Hoyos.
“We are not together anymore,” Yamal stated, before moving quickly to dispel rumours that had circulated on social media platforms. “It was not because of any infidelity.”
The relationship, which lasted less than a year, had attracted considerable attention from fans and media outlets, with the couple regularly appearing together at public events and social gatherings.
Recent speculation intensified following a trip to Italy, with various reports suggesting infidelity as the cause of the split. However, Yamal firmly rejected these claims.
“We have simply parted ways and that’s it,” he explained. “Everything that is coming out has nothing to do with us. I’ve not been unfaithful or got with someone else.”
Nicole had become a familiar face at Camp Nou, frequently attending Barcelona matches and watching from the stands. On several occasions, she was photographed alongside injured team members including Raphinha and Dani Olmo, and was even spotted in conversation with Barcelona manager Hansi Flick.
The young forward has continued to focus on his football despite the increased scrutiny of his personal life, maintaining his position as a key figure in Barcelona’s attacking line-up this season.
Neither party has provided further details about the separation, with both appearing keen to move forward privately following the public announcement.
