Violent Clash Erupts in Shimankar Village, Plateau State: Four Injured

A violent confrontation between youth groups in Shimankar village, located in the Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State, has led to chaos, with reports indicating that several houses have been set on fire.

According to a report from the African Independent Television (AIT), tensions flared following a dispute between some traditional worshipers and Muslim youths. Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, confirmed the incident in a phone interview, revealing that the clash stemmed from a misunderstanding between the two groups.

While no lives were lost in the violence, Alabo stated that four individuals sustained injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the situation as the community grapples with the aftermath of the unrest.
