Troops Discover Major Ammunition Cache in Maiduguri, Intensify Vigilance

In a significant security breakthrough, troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have recovered a large stockpile of high-caliber ammunition hidden in a drainage channel in the Bulumkutu Railway area of Maiduguri.

The discovery, made on Thursday, January 2, 2026, came after troops responded to a distress call from residents at about 3:00 p.m., reporting suspicious metallic objects.
