Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been honored with the Senate Press Corps Award for best Constituency Development for the third consecutive year.
The award, presented on Monday at the NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja, recognized Kalu’s outstanding contributions to infrastructure development and human empowerment in his constituency.
At the ceremony, the Chairman of the Senate Press Corps, Mr. James Itodo, highlighted why Kalu was chosen for the honor. “Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has consistently delivered tangible development projects and empowerment programs in his senatorial district. His performance is a model of effective representation, driven by dedication and results,” Itodo stated.
Itodo further noted that Kalu’s significant impact in Abia North, along with his legislative contributions at the federal level, continues to set him apart as a leading lawmaker.
Senator Kalu, who chairs the Senate Committee on Privatisation, has garnered praise for his infrastructure and empowerment efforts. This latest recognition adds to a string of accolades he has received, including the Honorary Fellowship Award from the Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN) and the Progressive Leadership Award from the Progressive Movement for Better Nigeria.
