SANI URGES NIGERIANS IN U.S. WITH REVOKED VISAS TO RETURN HOME

Former Senator of Nigeria, Shehu Sani, has urged Nigerians whose visas were recently revoked by the administration of United States President Donald Trump to return home without delay.

In a post on X on Monday, Sani warned affected Nigerians and other Africans to leave the United States before they fall into the hands of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

He reminded migrants that no matter how comfortable life may be abroad, it is still not their home.

Sani wrote, “Nigerians and other thousands of Africans whose visas were recently revoked by President Trump should hasten and leave the country and return home before they get arrested by ICE… No matter how long you live in the comfort of your adopted home, you will someday be reminded that it’s not your father’s house.”

His warning came after the United States Department of State revoked the visas of more than 80,000 individuals, including Nigerians, as part of a sweeping immigration enforcement action under the Trump administration.

The revocation, announced in a statement on Thursday, November 6, 2025, was described as part of Trump’s efforts to tighten America’s borders and prioritise national security.

The State Department labelled the action “promises made, promises kept,” insisting the mass visa cancellations aligned with the administration’s national security strategy.
