The Police Service Commission, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, has announced the commencement of a massive recruitment exercise for 50,000 new Police Constables, following a presidential directive aimed at strengthening national security.
In a joint press release issued on Thursday, the two bodies stated that the recruitment is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s strategy to enhance community policing, bolster internal security, and expand the manpower base of the Nigeria Police Force.
The recruitment portal, www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, will open for applications from Monday, December 15, 2025, and close on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
The Commission emphasized that the exercise will be conducted transparently and based on merit. It warned the public that the application process is completely free, and no payment is required at any stage.
“Applicants are warned to be wary of fraudsters,” the statement read, urging candidates to rely only on the official portal and the verified websites and social media handles of the PSC and NPF for information.
The Police Service Commission encouraged all qualified Nigerians to seize the opportunity to serve the nation, describing it as a critical step towards building a more robust and effective police force.
