President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as the Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission for a five-year term, which is renewable.
The was made known in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Dr. Enyiekere, an environmental specialist, previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Senate President before his new appointment. Along with the chairperson, the President also approved the appointment of two members from each of the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria to the Commission.
The statement confirmed that the Commission’s members, like the Chairman, will serve for a renewable five-year term.
