PDP Northern Caucus Affirms Ibadan Convention Expulsions of Wike, Others as Valid

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Northern Consultative Forum has declared all resolutions from the party’s recent National Convention in Ibadan final and binding, including the expulsions of high-profile members.

In a statement released Sunday and signed by Chairman David Galadima, the forum specifically upheld the expulsions of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, ex-National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, and others as “valid, subsisting, and enforceable.

“The group cautioned party members and the public against “deliberate attempts to mislead Nigerians” about the convention’s outcomes.

It dismissed ongoing litigation and criticism as irrelevant to decisions made by the party’s highest decision-making body.”Let it be unequivocally stated that the decisions made and actions taken during the PDP National Convention in Ibadan are binding on all members of the Peoples Democratic Party nationwide,” the statement read.

The forum positioned the PDP as committed to discipline and unity, vowing not to be distracted by “mere rhetoric.” It reaffirmed adherence to democratic ideals and the party constitution, urging members to respect constituted authority and collaborate for stability ahead of future elections.

The statement ended with a warning to challengers: “Know this and know peace,” highlighting risks of further party division amid internal turmoil.
