President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The brief ceremony which took place at the Council Chambers of the State House on Monday occurred before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting.
The new Head of Service appointment was approved by the President last month following the expected retirement of incumbent Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, who is due to retire on August 13, 2024.
With years of experience in the Civil Service, Mrs. Walson-Jack was appointed as Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017. She also served in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, and the Federal Ministries of Power, Water Resources, and Sanitation.
She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987 and holds a holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Lagos. She is married to Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack, a former General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
