Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, a lawmaker who assaulted a driver in the nation’s capital on Sunday Evening has tendered an apology to Nigerians.
In a video yesterday, the speaker representing Abia North said he is “human” thus bound to mistakes and that no matter the provocation, he should not have reacted in that manner. He has asked Nigerians to let the matter remain in the past.
Nigerians had condemned the assault, and subsequent incarceration of a bolt driver who had delivered a package to Mr Ikwechegh at his residence.
