A funfair in ibadan has turned bloody after a stampede killed 30 children, injuring others.
The sad incident occurred at the Islamic High School in the Bashorun area aimed to offer 5000 naira to 5000 children.
However, things took a devastating turn when the number of children exceeded the expected 5,000, leading to a struggle for entry.
In the struggle that followed, as the little children struggled for entry to receive N5000, a stampede ensued and 30 children reportedly died.
The unfortunate incident is a sombre reminder of the hardship in the country where children now risk their lives to collect money.
