FCT COMMAND CAUTIONS PUBLIC OVER GIVING MONEY TO PERSONNEL ON DUTY

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has cautioned members of the public against offering money or inducements to its personnel while on duty, stressing that such acts are unlawful and compromise the integrity of policing.

In a statement released via its official X handle on Sunday, September 7, 2025, the Command reminded residents that officers are required to carry out their responsibilities without interference.

“It is unlawful to give our officers money or any form of inducement while they are performing their duty. Let them discharge their responsibilities diligently, without interference,” the statement read.

The Command reassured FCT residents of its dedication to professional service delivery, noting that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to integrity, transparency, and accountability.

It urged citizens to cooperate with officers in building a safer and more secure capital city.

The Command further encouraged residents to promptly report any unprofessional conduct by its personnel.
