Ezenwafor Pledges Support to Soludo, Calls for Inclusive Governance in Anambra

Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in last Saturday’s Anambra State governorship election, has pledged his readiness to collaborate with Governor Chukwuma Soludo to advance the state’s development agenda.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Ezenwafor described his relationship with Soludo as long-standing and friendly. He noted that he had supported the governor even before his 2021 election.

“I can assist him. I have been assisting him before; he is my friend. I brought him to work in Anambra,” Ezenwafor said, adding that he had encouraged Soludo to contest the governorship during his tenure as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano.

Acknowledging the ongoing security challenges in the state, the PDP candidate commended the Soludo administration’s proactive measures to curb insecurity. He urged the government to strengthen collaboration with security agencies and to invest in better equipment to enhance operational efficiency.

“Soludo and his team are working. We have competent security chiefs in Anambra. What they need is improved equipment, and insecurity will end. I believe he will do more,” Ezenwafor stated.

Ezenwafor also confirmed that he had congratulated Soludo on his re-election and pledged support for the state government. However, he advised the governor to maintain inclusivity in governance.

“If he doesn’t do well, I will speak. But I advise Governor Soludo to run an inclusive government so that Anambra will remain safe and prosperous,” he said.
