Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price by N65 Ahead of Ramadan

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N65, from N890 to N825 per litre, effective February 27, 2025. This price cut is aimed at easing the financial burden on Nigerians in anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan season and supporting President Bola Tinubu’s economic recovery efforts.

With this adjustment, fuel will be sold at N860 per litre at MRS outlets in Lagos, with varying prices across regions: N870 in the South-West, N880 in the North, and N890 in the South-South and South-East. The new pricing also applies to Ardova Petroleum and Heyden stations, with prices slightly higher at N865 in Lagos and varying by region.

This marks the second petrol price reduction in February 2025, following an earlier N60 decrease. In December 2024, the refinery also reduced the price by N70.50 during the holiday season. Dangote Refinery has assured the public of a steady supply of petroleum products, with sufficient reserves to meet domestic needs and support exports.
