Cole Palmer breaks Premier League scoring record

In Chelsea’s comprehensive 4-2 win over Brighton at Stamford Bridge, it was Chelsea’s talisman, Cole Palmer who took matters into his own hands by delivering a performance for the ages.

He became the first player in history to score four goals in the first half of a premier league game.

Brighton went ahead in just seven minutes and it seemed like another defeat was on the horizon. But Cole Palmer had other plans. He was initially denied by VAR for offside and he also hit the wood work.

The reigning PFA young player of the year show cased his all round ability by scoring a tap-in, a clinical penalty, a stunning free kick, and a sharp near post finish all under 20 minutes of football.

In another development, the Springboks beat Argentina to win the Rugby Championship. They were defeated by the Pumas last weekend to extend the competition to the last game. And the reigning Rugby World Cup champions did not disappoint their home fans. They clinched the  championship with a dominant performance by scoring seven tries to win 48-7.
