Badaru Denies Defection Rumours, Reaffirms APC Loyalty

Former Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has forcefully dismissed rumours circulating on social media that he is in talks to defect to the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC).

These was contain in a statement released, former minister described the claims as entirely false, unfounded, and a “product of political mischief.”

Badaru Abubakar categorically stated that the report is baseless and speculative, reiterating his unwavering allegiance to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar remains firmly committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a party he helped to found, and his loyalty to the party remains absolute and unwavering,” the statement read.

The former minister, who also served as a two-term Governor of Jigawa State, urged both the general public and members of the APC to completely disregard what he termed “false and misleading reports.”

He asserted his position as a dedicated party member and confirmed he has no intention of leaving the APC.

This firm denial comes amid a period of heightened political realignments and speculation ahead of future election cycles, with the APC seeking to maintain cohesion within its ranks.
