Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations Qualifiers is in high spirits after several key players hit camp.
Chippa United’s Stanley Nwabali, Fulham’s Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, and German based Frank Onyeka have arrived. Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen and Maduka Okoye are expected today.
The Eagles will face Benin on September 7th at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium before flying to Kigali to play Rwanda at the Amahoro National Stadium Sept. 10.
Benin now managed by former Super Eagles Coach,Gernot Rohr beat Nigeria 2-1 in a recent World Cup Qualifiers.
Key defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel will not play due to an ankle injury which has sidelined him from playing Fernabache’s last two matches.
He has been replaced by Crawly Town’s Benjamin Tanimu.
Nigeria is presently been handled by a Caretaker Coach Augustin Eguavoen who also doubles as Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Director.
