Popular nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana Chiefpriest, was left visibly shocked after witnessing streamer and comedian Peller receive an unexpected flood of virtual gifts during a TikTok live session that has since gone viral.
The live broadcast, which took place over the weekend, captured the moment Peller reached level 50 on the platform — a milestone reportedly worth over ₦7 million in virtual gifts. The visibly elated content creator repeatedly exclaimed “Jesus!” as the donations poured in, while Cubana Chiefpriest watched in disbelief.
According to sources, the anonymous donor identified as Mafia Ghost sent the massive gifts but declined to join the live session despite Chiefpriest’s attempts to make contact. The businessman, impressed by the moment, praised Peller’s growing influence and entertainment skills.
The viral clip has generated a wave of reactions across social media, with users debating the legitimacy and motive behind such large-scale online gifting.
One user, @daniella_ella_D, alleged that “this gifting stuff is a money laundering scheme… the people gifting plan it up with him and use stolen cards to throw gifts, then share the profits later.”
Another, @Yourfavboy495, wrote: “Money laundering at its peak.”
However, others defended the streamer, suggesting that his success reflects the changing landscape of digital entertainment in Nigeria. “Chief Priest dey learn wetin dem dey call grace from this boy. Peller’s grace is on a different level,” commented @iamthepreence.
Similarly, @AmosSoma37877 noted that the viral moment highlights a broader cultural shift: “That kind of money flying in one stream shows people are playing life on different levels. Seven million just like that — no stress. The rich now flex through live streams. Nigerian streaming culture is becoming a money sport.”
Some sceptics attributed the donation to possible international interference. “Most likely a Chinese hacker sha. Level 50 gifter on TikTok is serious business,” said @olhabc.
The dramatic incident follows another viral moment involving Peller, who was recently seen in a heated exchange with his manager in the United Kingdom after being prevented from meeting singer Davido.
