JUST IN: NNPCL INCREASES FUEL PUMP PRICE TO N992

The Nigerian National Petroleum Limited (NNPCL) has reportedly increased petrol price to N992 per litre from N865 per litre.

While no official reason has been given for the increment, the increment has been reflected across NNPC retail outlets visited by The Nation.

At NNPC filling station on Ogunusi road, Ojodu Berger, petrol attendants at the station said they were instructed to change the price to reflect the new rate N992 per litre.

However, checks at Ibafo along the Lagos /Ibadan expressway showed that NNPC outlets still displayed the old price of N875 per litre, although they were not selling to commuters.

Most of the NNPC stations were not dispensing fuel. In Abuja, some privately owned Filling stations were not selling fuel and black market sellers were seen hawking fuel on the road.
