TAKE UP ARMS AND DEFEND YOURSELVES- GBADAMOSI

A former governorship candidate in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has asked Nigerians to take up arms to defend themselves against terrorists.

The real estate developer cum politician made this known in a post via X, stating that Nigerians should stop using age as an excuse.

According to Gbadamosi, Nigerians should also resist any attempt to disarm them, emphasising that anyone who tries to disarm them wants them to be murdered.

He wrote, “Dear Nigerians, Arm Yourselves. Buy Crossbows. Buy AK-47 rifles. Buy GPMGs. Buy RPG Launchers.“Buy LAVs – they are made in Nigeria. Buy Drones.

“Learn to use them.

“Resist ANY attempt to disarm you. Anybody who tries to disarm you wants you to be murdered.

“Age is no excuse. Gender is no excuse. Religion is no excuse.

“If you refuse, your death at the hands of Fulani Muslim Jihadist Terrorists will be your own fault. #TakeYourFitnessSeriously.”

Gbadamosi’s advice follows the rising insecurity, bandit attacks and kidnapping incidents in the country.

Remember that Kwara State has recently been under attack by gunmen in the state.

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has even vowed to flush out bandits and kidnappers, declaring that those behind the recent deadly attack on Oke-Ode community in Ifelodun Local Government Area will not escape justice.

Gunmen had recently ambushed local vigilantes and a traditional leader in the area, leaving several people dead and throwing residents into fear.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor said he had already briefed President Bola Tinubu on the attack and renewed his call for additional federal deployment to secure Kwara’s border communities.

He revealed that the Army Headquarters had relocated the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 2nd Division to Ilorin as part of intensified military operations in the state.

AbdulRazaq disclosed that combined forces of the Army, DSS, and Police launched a major offensive on Monday night around Baba Sango, along the Kwara-Kogi border.
