Afrobeats sensation David Adedeji Adeleke Jr., popularly known as Davido, has made history as the sole Nigerian artiste confirmed to perform at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, marking an extraordinary milestone in his global music career.
Joining him in the impressive lineup are world-renowned artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Karol G, BIGBANG, FKA Twigs, The Strokes, David Byrne, and Disclosure. The festival, one of the largest and most anticipated music events globally, will be headlined by these stars, attracting nearly 250,000 music lovers to the Californian desert. For fans of Afrobeats, Davido’s inclusion is especially significant, symbolizing the genre’s unstoppable global rise.
This marks a highly anticipated return for Davido to the Coachella stage. Though originally slated to perform in 2019, he was unable to due to scheduling conflicts. His return in 2026 as a fully featured artist represents a much-anticipated recognition of his contribution to global music.
Davido is the only Nigerian act among a star-studded cast, underlining the growing influence of African music worldwide. Hits like “Unavailable,” “Fall,” and “Feel” have helped Davido build a massive international following, making him one of the biggest names in contemporary music. As the festival takes place across two weekends—April 10–12 and April 17–19, 2026—Davido will perform on both Saturdays, April 11 and April 18, showcasing his dynamic performance style at California’s Empire Polo Club.
His upcoming appearance at Coachella comes after his ‘5IVE Alive Tour,’ which will span 12 venues across North America, beginning in July and continuing until November. This highly anticipated tour is expected to keep the energy high ahead of his Coachella performances.
Other notable performers include British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz, who has transitioned from a cult figure to a mainstream success. Her unique blend of afrocentric music and acting talent—especially in the hit show Top Boy—has earned her a loyal fanbase. Little Simz will perform on Sundays, April 12 and April 19.
The British-Kenyan pop star PinkPantheress, known for her engaging and distinctive performances, will also grace the stage for the first time at Coachella. She will perform on both Saturdays, April 11 and April 18, marking her debut at the prestigious festival.
