In a shocking revelation, elder statesman and former interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande, has claimed that the #EndSARS movement was orchestrated by the “Obidient” movement with the primary aim of undermining President Bola Tinubu.
Akande made the statement during a recent interview on a podcast, which has since gone viral across social media platforms. According to the APC stalwart, the #EndSARS protests were not a spontaneous outcry of the Nigerian people but a carefully planned operation backed by significant financial resources and international support, particularly from the United States.
“The #EndSARS movement was designed to be the end of Tinubu,” Akande boldly declared, suggesting that the individuals behind the movement were fully aware of its intended political consequences. He went on to explain that the protest was initially engineered to destabilize the political landscape, with the ultimate target being President Tinubu.
“The Obidients were behind #EndSARS; it was manufactured in America and brought to Nigeria just to stop him (Tinubu),” Akande continued. He further alleged that the movement had ambitions beyond the protests, with its leaders attempting to form a political party. When those efforts failed, the group reportedly joined forces with another party, later aligning with the Labour Party.
Akande also emphasized that the protest was an ambush that took President Tinubu by surprise, implying that he was unaware of the plot at the time.
