Defence of the 2025 budget estimates by Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) government before the various House Committees failed to begin on Tuesday as expected.
There was no sign of any activity at the various committee rooms in the House where the budget defence was expected to take place.
The Nation spoke with a Committee Chairman who refused to be quoted and he said consultations were ongoing, adding that the Lawmakers cut short their Christmas break because of the budget defence.
The House is expected to resume plenary on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
