Nigerian Paralympic Athletes records bland showing at the 2024 Paralympic games in Paris. They won a total of Seven medals: 2 Gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals which is Nigeria’s lowest performance in Paralympics outing.

Onyiyechi Mark ensured that the Nigerian flag was raised and the National anthem played by breaking Palarympics world record in the 61Kg para-powerlifting category. She broke the world record with a 147kg lift before doing so again with a 150kg lift moments later.

Three-time world champion, Folashade Olufemiayo also did the country proud by breaking the world record in the over 86kg para-powerlifting category and becoming the first para athlete to lift 166kg. You would recall that she was “robbed” of the gold medal in the London Olympics after she lifted 148kg but it didn’t count due to some technicalities in the 75kg category.

Bolaji Eniola copped a bronze medal, Africa’s first ever medal in para-badmington.
Isau Ogunkunle’s bronze medal in men’s class 4A was Nigeria’s first medal in para table since Sydney 2000.

In the para-athletics women Javelin throw, Ugwunwa Flora won a silver medal with a throw of 19.26m.
