Operation Hadin Kai Recovers N37M, Intensifier Crackdown on Terrorist Supply Network

Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, have intensified efforts to disrupt terrorist logistics and financing networks across the theatre of operations.

A statement signed by the Media Information Officer Operation Hadin Kai Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba says troops of Sector 1, working with vigilante groups, have carried out a night ambush along a known crossing route used by ISWAP elements moving from Cameroon into Nigeria forcing the terrorists to retreat under heavy fire.

A follow-up search of the area led to the recovery of a cache of supplies believed to be intended for terrorist resupply.

In a separate operation at the Forward Operating Base, Chabbal Checkpoint, troops intercepted a vehicle carrying five occupants and recovered about Thirty-Seven Million Naira (N37,000,000) concealed in bags, along with several mobile phones suspected to be linked to terrorist activities.

The military said the operations form part of ongoing efforts to cut off both the movement and financial channels supporting terrorist activities in the North East.

The High Command commended the troops for their professionalism and reaffirmed its commitment to restoring lasting peace in the region.
