President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointments of Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO) in Abuja and Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
SHESTCO, a pivotal federal research institution, is responsible for advancing scientific and technological innovation across the country. Notably, it also oversees the operation of Nigeria’s nuclear research facility. The appointment of Hon. Aliyu reflects the President’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s science and technology infrastructure, positioning it as a key driver of innovation in the country.
Similarly, the appointment of Engr. Olusegun Michael to lead NEMSA marks a crucial step towards improving the nation’s electricity management systems. NEMSA plays a vital role in the regulation of Nigeria’s electricity sector, ensuring technical standards are met and safety protocols are adhered to across the industry.
In addition to these key appointments, President Tinubu has named a new board for NEMSA, consisting of highly qualified individuals from diverse sectors. The newly appointed members include:

The President has also nominated Amina Gamawa from Bauchi and Abdullahi Muktar from Kaduna as commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). These nominations have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.
