Renowned Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua was involved in a road accident today in Makun, Ogun State.
The incident occurred along a busy highway of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Monday, December 29, 2025.
The vehicle carrying Joshua, a Lexus Jeep with the number plate KRD 850 HN, reportedly collided with a stationary truck under circumstances that are still being investigated.
According to reports from PUNCH, an eyewitness stated that the accident happened just before the Danco Filling Station in Makun, before the Sagamu Interchange inward the Ibadan axis of the road.
Two people reportedly died on the spot, while the boxer sustained minor injuries.
Reacting to the story, Nigerians thanked God for the safety of the world renowned boxer.
Prince Olatunde commented on Facebook that “Thank God he is alive and for those that lost their lives rest in perfect peace in the bossom of the lord 😔”
Football Global news through their official handle also commented: “You’re a true champion! Speed recovery and keep pushing forward!”
