The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially launched a comprehensive 90-day nationwide exercise to mobilize, revalidate, and register its members across Nigeria.
The announcement, released by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), also outlined the schedule for upcoming congresses that will elect delegates at various levels in preparation for a major national convention.
According to official circulars issued by the party’s National Secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the ADC has provisionally scheduled its congresses between January 20 and 27, 2026. These grassroots elections will be conducted at three levels to select delegates who will participate in the national convention.
The elections will culminate in a non-elective National Convention slated for February 2026 in Abuja. The convention is expected to ratify key decisions, review the party’s constitution, and set the agenda for future political activities.
In a statement released on Saturday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, confirmed that these initiatives align with resolutions from the NWC meeting held on November 27, 2025.
The schedule also adheres to the relevant provisions of the party’s constitution regarding internal democracy and procedural timelines.
